UTP Outdoor Carnival 2011 is a recreational program conducted in UTP concerning numerous outdoor and motor sports activities all combined together in one time. This carnival is organized by the Student Representative Council of UTP (SRCUTP) in collaboration with Recreational and Adventure Club and with support from the UTP Students Support Services Department.
The theme for UTP Outdoor Carnival 2011 is “Challenge Our Spirit!”. This is corresponding to the mission of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) to produce well-rounded graduates who would be able to take challenges in order to enhance both their physical and mental well-being, as well as to become the future leaders.
This carnival is to be held totally in UTP and will take 3 days, from 25th to 27th March 2011. The activities proposed for this carnival is formulated to encourage participations in outdoor activities. It includes horse riding, kayaking, paintball, archery, boat cycle, and wall and rock climbing. These events are aimed to expose the participants to the new and popular outdoor activities amongst students in UTP as well as invited guests. These activities open to the public too.

The other objective of this carnival is to promote UTP as the leader in technology education and centre for creativity and innovation. By getting media coverage and some other mechanisms, this program can directly becomes one way to promote UTP. Obviously, with all commitment and full support from all parties, this program will be successfully organized and is expected to achieve superior feedback from targeted community. We hope that this program will become a platform for UTP students to get knowledge and education about outdoor activities.
